Pizza Nova

Summary

Full-scale web and mobile application project, Pizza Nova was built from the ground up using Next.js, React Native, Node.js, Tailwind CSS, Google Maps API, and the Canada Post API. I was deeply involved in core features of the customer-facing web app, including the sign-in and create account flows, the “Order Now” modal, the food customization process, the Google Maps integration for pickup orders, and the Canada Post integration for address autocompletion. Each feature was designed with performance, usability, and accessibility in mind.

A foundational part of this build was the emphasis on reusable component development. I helped lead the creation of a custom component library to ensure consistency across the platform while reducing future development time. We held regular meetings at Pizza Nova’s corporate office to review feedback, refine functionality, and adjust sprint milestones. My approach included not only executing on requirements, but also advising the client on user experience decisions—flagging features that were theoretically sound but presented friction in practice. Although I contributed briefly to the React Native implementation, my focus remained on the web application where the majority of customer interaction was expected. This project reflects a high standard of product thinking, front-end architecture, and real-world collaboration.
